Mar. 5th, 2006 06:36 pmWell I was supposed to be playing Magic with Karl after lunch but he's fallen asleep in my bed so I might as well update. I've just got off ebay after bidding for 4 different sets of specific Magic cards (and a non-leather studded belt - finally found one, after HOW long???), so if I win them all it'll all be Karl's fault. Although actually, since I'm bidding in dollars it's rather cheap, lol. And I've already put in my maximum bid so I won't be tempted to go back and bankrupt myself for some pieces of paper with pretty pictures on. Ooh, and one of them is actually my Christmas present from Karl, so it's not all coming out of my wallet.
I hope he bloody wakes up in time for the quiz *glares at Karl-in-repose and formulates plans involving icy cold water*.
What to say? Oh yes, the Firefly evening was cool. I like the show, so didn't mind in the slightest watching four episodes (including the first, feature-length one) back-to-back. It was good to catch up with my brother too, and eat lots of pizza and cake. We used to share a flat (the one I'm still in, and one before that in Edgbaston) and we're great mates when we're not yelling at each other, lol (well that's what little brothers are for). The only thing I didn't like was the walk through Broad Street to get a taxi back. That place has a weird effect on me on weekend nights :-S.
Speaking of my brother reminds me, I still haven't found a dress for his wedding. I'm going to be a bridesmaid and I need a long black dress. I'm looking for something that can fit in with the wedding party (it's not a goth wedding), but that can also easily double as a going-out dress - i.e. it wouldn't look out of place at Eddie's, SNFNGS etc. Does anyone have any ideas? Budget is tight, but my mum's helping me out so I can go up to about £100. Comment or text me, or send a carrier griffin if such is your wont.
Fankies in advance :-D.
